This episode’s guest is Enni-Kukka Tuomala. Enni is an empathy designer and artist whose work focusses on tackling some of the key challenges of our time such as racism, sexism, the refugee crisis and the polarisation of politics. Her work has taken her around the world with projects such as “Empathy Exchange” – a social experiment on the streets of Tokyo to initiate positive interactions between people of difference and “Empatia Ele” – a ground breaking project with members of the Finnish Parliament to imbue empathy into the heart of politics. Her Campaign for Empathy recently saw her take up residency in the London borough of Newham where she helped the community use empathy as a tool for bridging divides. She is currently working on establishing permanent empathy HQs in cities around the world. Recorded in the chapel of House of St Barnabus, London.
