Episode 76 – Maria Oshodi

This episode’s guest is Maria Oshodi.  Maria is a blind writer, theatre director and disability arts consultant whose experimental work pushes the artistic and aesthetic boundaries between experience, identity and place. She has written plays such as “The S Bend”, “Blood Sweat and Fears”, the screenplay “Mug” for Channel 4 and was recognised as one of the 50 women to watch in cultural leadership.  She’s the founder of Extant – a leading performance art company of visually impaired artists and her current project “A Trail of Two Cities” is a symphonic performance exploration of the lives of two blind artists of colour.  Recorded in Brixton, London.
