Episode 58 – Vicki Amedume

This episode’s guest is Vicki Amedume.  Vicki initially trained as a research scientist but entered the circus world in 1997.  She worked as an aerialist across many circus contexts from large scale outdoor spaces to traditional tented touring circuses, to intimate indoor venues.  She is a circus and aerial director who has worked with the likes of the RSC and National Theatre of Scotland and in 2006 founded Upswing, a charitable contemporary circus company that brings together people from different backgrounds to creative diverse and powerful temporary communities.  Recorded in the chapel at House of St Barnabus, London.
